Meet Elena

I wasn't an athlete growing up, and I definitely didn't think of myself as a runner.

When I first started running, I couldn't make it 30 seconds without stopping.

But one step became another, and eventually those run-walk intervals turned into my first 5K.

Joining a local run club introduced me to a community that made running feel welcoming instead of intimidating. For years I ran races from 5Ks to marathons with little structure, until getting into the Chicago Marathon pushed me to seek professional coaching.

Working with a coach transformed the way I trained. I learned the purpose behind every workout, became stronger and healthier, and improved my marathon personal best by 45 minutes.

That experience inspired me to become a UESCA Certified Running Coach so I could help other everyday runners train with confidence through personalized, evidence-based coaching that fits real life.

Whether your goals include completing a race, running farther than you ever thought possible, staying active, or simply finding more joy in movement, I'm here to help you train with confidence and build a lifelong love of running.

Training That Makes Sense

My coaching philosophy is simple: Running should add to your life—not compete with it. The best training isn't the hardest training; it's the training you can consistently do while balancing work, family, hobbies, and everything else life throws your way. That's why every coaching plan is built around your goals, your schedule, and your experience. The finish line is exciting, but loving the process is what keeps you running for years to come.

What I Believe About Running

Running should be for every body.

I recognize that running isn’t equally safe, accessible, or welcoming for everyone. At Run Coach Elena LLC, I am committed to creating a coaching space where every athlete is treated with respect, supported as their authentic self, and encouraged to pursue meaningful goals.

I coach with curiosity, empathy, and a willingness to learn, respecting each runner's unique experiences and needs. If an athlete's goals require expertise beyond my scope, I'll do my best to connect them with the right resources.

Whether you're running your first mile or fifteenth marathon, your goals matter, and I'm here to help you reach them.
